Fate of the Earth Short Stories Summer Love

In the hut in the Wildra lands, near the water fall, that hid the space hanger, containing the Wings of Hope inside, a black dragoness known as Sapphire had woken up from her sleep.

She looked to see if her beloved green dragon, Fireball, was beside her, but she saw the bed was empty, just an imprint of where his body once laid.

Wondering where he was she looked around.

The light from outside was beaming through the room windows and the plant life was showing its colours and life, the earthly, wooden room had a warm glow to it and felt warm.

As Sapphire got up she put on a shirt to cover herself up and made her way downstairs, seeing if she could find Fireball, although she did thought that he had just gone out to attend to the Velociraptors or the giant Bee Farm.

When she got downstairs she heard Santor cutting up some vegetables with his knife, he must have been making breakfast or something for later on.

She went into the kitchen where he was working and asked “have you seen Fireball?”

“He went out to take care of a few things, he said he'll be back”.

“Did he say where?”

Santor shook his head and said as he guessed “he could be at the farms”.

So Sapphire got herself dressed and kept the shirt she wore on as she set off to go out, telling her Jellites to stay with Santor.

She then went outside, placing her hand over her head to cover from the bright sunlight that lit up the whole area, showing the beautiful green grass, trees and other life in the area.

There was a gentle breeze blowing that she felt across her skin and her wings, which she had folded like a cape while keeping her arms showing as she wanted to keep the cool air blowing on her skin.

She saw the Giant Bees on the Bee Farm and stroked some as she passed by.

It was like stroking sheep on a farm, but with a more soft fur around their bodies and these beautiful transparent wings that shimmered as the light beamed on them.

The large flowers in the area grew wonderfully for the bees to pollinate and use for their large hives, the sweet smell of honey could be smelt and the warmth of the hives could be felt as they were large, giving alot of heat from them.

Sapphire put her hand on one that was close by and checked it over “looking good still”.

She then went over to the Velociraptors that were out and about, running around and making noises to each other.

Calling over the pack leader Sapphire asked if he had seen Fireball.

The pack leader said that Fireball was with them early in the morning, but then flew to the mountains, he seemed in a lot of thought.

Fireball had been working a lot lately, specially with the threat of the Sillos and his father, it was hard for him to relax.

So Sapphire decided to head to the mountains, she spread her wings and took to the skies, heading in the direction of where Fireball was said to be.

When she got there she landed at a near-by water spring, that had some flat land, with small greenery growing around it.

Sapphire placed her hand under the water spring and collect some water in her hand, then drinking it as she did so.

She then looked around and saw Fireball standing at the edge of mountain they were on, looking in a world of thought, with the wind blowing through his wings, giving him a look that looked like he was  a character from one of those movies.

“Fireball!” said Sapphire with a relieved tone as she approached him, placing her arms around him.

Fireball put one arm around her and asked “did I worry you?”

“You should always tell me when you decide to leave, you know how I worry” jestered the woman.

Fireball rubbed his head against her's and said he was sorry, he just needed to go and think alone for abit, but he was glad that she was there, it was getting lonely thinking alone and it made a change.

“You know I am always here for you, you just tell me” assured the dragoness.

Kissing her on the cheek Fireball smiled and said as he looked ahead, knowing this “I know Sapphire”.

Sapphire just hugged him, she didn't ask him any questions, she felt he would tell her in his own time.

And after awhile he did.

He told her his opinions on leading the Freedom Alliance, he told how hard it was to lead, making decision and actions, even to know how to act and so on.

Fireball also went to talk about his father, how he wished his father wasn't like as he was, how wished he could of stopped him from unleashing his Sillos.

Then it got to the point where he said he was afraid, afraid of the Sillos, afraid of what they could do, afraid of losing, making the wrong turn.

Listening to him Sapphire just kept herself around him, not letting him go, placing her head against him, sometimes on his side, sometimes behind him, then on his front, it was like she was trying to fight away his fears and push them away.

Fireball then said as he looked at her, as he had another reason for being where he was “you want to know another reason I am here?”

Sapphire looked at him, awaiting his answer.

Fireball looked on ahead and Sapphire did aswell as the sky began to glow a fiery red, with hints of purple as these small flashes of light rained down on them.

It was the planetary rings dropping its dust through the atmosphere, dust made of energy, that had rejuvenating properties, that could heal both body and soul, and it only happened once every year, on the 1st of August, when the three suns were at their peak.

It was beautiful, it was like seeing a mixture of the aurora and a meteor shower, all in one.

Sapphire felt this calm emotion in her and her body was feeling so strong, it was like she could run non-stop.

Fireball even felt this and suddenly his worries and fears turned into determination “and then I am reminded of why I do what I do”.

He then looked at Sapphire and said as he held her “you are one of them”.

Suddenly he then fell off the mountain side with her in his arms, following this large water fall down the mountain side.

Sapphire at first wondered what he was doing, but when he asked “do you trust me?” she smiled and said with trust in all her heart “with all my heart”.

And as they went down the light from the shower was raining with them, some started to surround them as Fireball emitted this strong surge of energy, making an almost rainbow effect.

Slowly Fireball opened his wings so they would guild them down as they went straight into the water at the bottom of the water fall, holding onto each other.

As they did they right themselves the right way up, still keeping hold of each other, feeling the coolness and freshness of the water that surrounded them.

Sapphire looked into Fireball's eyes as they embraced each other and kissed one another.

The energy that was around them gave them a glowing effect, that made the scene look magical.

And at that moment it was like time had slowed down for them two as they continued to hold each other, never letting go, caressing each other, linking tails together.

“I will always be with you” Fireball said by thought to her.

“And I with you” Sapphire whispered by thought to him as they continued to kiss each other.
