Siren's Second Strike

Outside the House:

However outside in the rain a bird women known as Siren was on the roof of the house, the same one Nina and Fireball had fought, she had her head raised slowly, feeling the cold breeze across her chest and wings.

It was the same one that Fireball and Nina had encountered before, she must of tracked them down and followed them to where they were.

“You know Nina... you were too soft on me the first time we met” uttered the woman “but however you should know I am a monster, I deserved to be a slave, despite how much I hated it”.

Rain ran down her fur and soft feathers as she uttered to herself, the light of the moon gave her a majestic glowing effect.

“You are a brave girl Nina, I'll give you that but you should never hold back on me as I am a beast” she said as she looked at one of her sharp, golden like talons “I won't hold back due to my instincts that tell me to kill, that tell me to follow my master's... my love's... will”.

Thunder was then heard and she said as lightning struck “Fireball is right about me, I am a killer, you should listen to him because one day me and you may end up killing each other”.

She then looked at the moon and said with a calm tone “maybe tonight is that time”.

Smiling she then said to it to shake off her emotions and get her cruel emotions psyched up “hey moon you're waiting for me to make a strike? Wait more my friend, I'll show you how I crush vermin”.

The water of the rain went across her, acting like a shower, cooling her cravings as she was preparing for something “may blood be shed tonight!” she laughed as her eyes widen with excitement.

Raising her front claws into the air she called out “now come forth Verat Man Eater of the Forest”.

Inside the house:

Nina could sense something was a foot and didn't like what she was feeling.

Waking Fireball up she hushed him as she hinted that something wasn't right and he signalled her to get behind him.

Suddenly the house began to change into something that looked almost alive and disgusting, then these vines grabbed hold of both Fireball and Nina, holding them tight and leaving them unable to break free.

“Siren! You set us up!” said Fireball as he knew whose handy work it was.

Coming through the living like ceiling Siren landed in front of them and said with such a sarcastic, childish tone “who me? Set you up? Why Fireball such a cold thing to say about little old me”

“But it is true, you are relentless” said Nina as she looked at the cold women.

Fireball then said to the wolf in a mocking tone, aimed at Siren “didn't you know? She is running her own  class, how suck at her mission”

Siren didn't pay much attention to his mockery and just said as she could do worst to them “you know? I could take your souls and just tear them apart, again and again, and again, until they are tormented so much you become either lost souls or something very ugly”.

“Like you, right?” mocked Fireball again, getting a shock from the vines as he did.

“So full of flattery, I could swear you want me badly dragon” mocked the bird woman as she lent over to him in such a seductive way.

“Yikes, now I am scared” mocked the dragon man again, who was soon slapped across the face by Siren as she was getting fed up with his childish mockery.

But she soon turned to Nina and said to her as she stroked her face, to which Nina pulled her head away, shaking it in an angry way, warning her to not touch her “and you wolf, your kindness... it was too much, I told you letting me go was a mistake, fool!”

Fireball then said in retaliation to her remark “I knew you couldn't be trusted Siren, you backstabbing...” suddenly the vine shocked him, stopping him from finishing his sentence, “oh you son of a... I'm gonna tear you in two” threatened Fireball as he knew what the plant that held them was.

“Don't be so dramatic, Verat would eat you easy and you should of known better, and now because of you this girl will suffer and you will die” said the cold hearted beast.

She then looked at Nina and said as she place her talon on her muzzle “and it is all thanks to you my dear, being so soft on me, it almost makes me feel bad I'll have to give you to him”.

“Him? As in Corrobis?” asked Nina.

Laughing Siren said as she knew Nina was getting the idea of what was going on “now you are getting it”.

She then looked at Fireball and said as she came up to him, rubbing his snout, thinking of what she could do to him “how I would love to rip your snout right off now”, she then whacked him across the face, scratching his right face, followed by a punch to the stomach and then she digs one of her talons into his chest, driving her claws into the skin, causing him pain “maybe I shall rip your heart out”.

“Siren wait... don't hurt him...” said Nina as she didn't want anyone getting hurt “I'll go quietly, just let him go”.

Smiling sinisterly Siren says to Fireball as she digs her talon in more “aww she is begging for your life, at lest thank her!” she then twist her claw into his chest, causing this purple blood to drip.

She then rips her claw out, causing Fireball a great deal of pain but he holds it in and just looked at her, “oops my bad again” said the sarcastic woman, “his good at dealing with this you know? Hence why he is so good to torment, makes me wonder, does he have a heart that cares?”

Walking up to Nina with her blood stained claw, showing the purple blood as she twisted it around, as if it were to antagonise the wolf.

“Wonderful, the smell of blood, the cold taste, the amazing thrill it gives”.

As she came up to the white wolf Nina shook her head and said to her “you disgust me!”

“I know and I love it” said the heartless woman “anything else you like to add to that?”

Fireball then said as he was getting annoyed “why don't you just get it over with? You are boring me with your pointless talk, infact I could grow a beard here, if I had hair of course”.

Siren looked at him and then looked at Nina as she had a twisted thought in mind “tell me, wolf, how much has this fool told you about his daughter?”

“What?” said Fireball but was soon hit by a black wave from Siren's talons.

She looked at Nina and asked again “tell me, has he told you about his daughter yet?”

“He already has” said Nina while trying to break free still.

“Do you want to hear what happened to the poor girl, after she was given as a slave to her owners?”.

“What did you do?” asked Nina as she had a feeling Siren did something horrible to his child.

Siren smiled and then walked around the two “pay attention as what I am about to say is the cold hard facts, infact it is just cold in general” and she laughed.

Siren then smirked and said as she told her cruel story “once upon a time, long ago in a forest, a young dragon child was picking flowers and berries for her owners, such a young a pretty thing to be left all alone by herself, waiting, almost deserving such neglect due to her stupidity, can you guess what happened next when I came to the scene?”

Fireball looked at her, wondering what did she do to his child.

“I killed her, I've killed many with these talons, so what is one more? Perfect to deal with vermin” said the mad woman as she smiled at the two, feeling proud of her actions.

Fireball's eyes widen with fear as she said this, “no...” threat the dragon man as he didn't believe her.

“My talons went into her chest, twisting, ripping, grabbing, tormenting” said Siren with a very cruel tone as she knew her words were getting to Fireball as he began to shake his head in disbelieve.

“I didn't feel her death, she is alive, I know it!” he said as he didn't believe her.

“Shows how much you do know dragon, her screams of agony as I bunt her eyes was pure bliss to my ears”.

The dragon began to breath heavily as he was getting even more stressed, trying so hard to hold back his enraged emotions, his Dragon Eye began to glow violently.

“She died without honour and forever alone, with her tears rolling down her cheeks, her blood ran, which I had the pleasure of licking off my talons as I laughed at her suffering”, she then whispered in Fireball's ear to add to his emotion “her golden blood was pure bliss for me to taste, even bath in”.

Seeing Fireball close his eyes in disbelief, holding back on his emotions Siren laughed and continued with her cruel game, “aww the dragon is hurting now, good then maybe you know how it felt when you defeated my love” she said heartlessly.

Fireball shook his head as he still didn't believe her “no, no! I don't believe that!”

Walking up to him and looking at him as he continued to deny what she was saying was true “oh but it is the truth, why don't you look into my memories?”

She grabbed his head and placed it on to hers, and these images began to appear, showing the horrors she did to his poor child.

“No... my daughter... she was... she...”

“So innocent and alone?”

“No, please... stop!” begged the dragon as  he tried to block out the images in his mind.

“Her screams echoed throughout the forest, her slave masters didn't care about her, her death was perfect, oh the agony of it, it was so much fun” said Siren as she tried to break him with his emotions.

“That's enough Siren!” said Nina with a warning as she was getting angry with her.

“Her screams, her voice, crying out for the man she called father, who failed to come for her, leaving her all alone, howling alone, crying alone, bleeding alone and then dying alone!” spoke the heartless woman, ignoring Nina's warning.

Fireball tried to block her voice out as she spoke, holding his emotions together but was struggling due to them being over powering.

Guilt, sorrow, sadness, angry, aggression, agony, all of those negative emotions were going around him like an endless spiral and Siren continued to make them spiral more.

“It's ok Fireball, it's ok...” she said as she stroked his face, placing his head against her chest in a seductive way “you can now get to experience exactly what she went through!”

Digging her claws into his chest once more she then said “I shall do what I did to her, like father like daughter, dying the same way, a fitting punishment for one that failed her, then you can tell her how sorry you are”.

As she pressed her claws deeper into his chest she began to twist them, causing Fireball to yell out in pain, but as he did so he saw images of Siren grabbing his child, digging her claws into her, just like she was doing to him, and as she continued to do so he then heard his child crying out to him “papa!”

“Isabel!” Fireball said as he struggled against Siren's talons.

“Ah so she has a name?” said Siren “she had a name”.

“No... she lives!”

And suddenly a burst of aqua green energy erupts from Fireball, knocking the cold hearted woman over, causing him to break out from the vines that held him.

Looking at the woman with aggression, surrounded by this aqua green aura Fireball then said as he went at her “I'm going to make you pay for what you have done!”

He then whacked Siren as she got up, knocking her over again, knocking her away from Nina.

Nina looked at the two fighting and could see Fireball was losing it, so in order to help him she tried to break free from the vines, anyway she could.

The vines shocked her as she did but she didn't care about the pain going through her body and with all her strength she used her claws and fangs to break free from the vines.

She landed on her fours and looked at Siren with warning “are you happy now that you have pushed him?” said the defensive wolf.

Siren looked at her and was impressed that she broke free “well the little wolf has a spark after all, this should be interesting, want to use that power of yours that got you into trouble in the first place on me?” she was talking about when she used it in the past to help her friend.

Letting Fireball's go, she looked straight at Nina and got into her fighting stance “come wolf, come at me!” taunted the woman.

But that was her mistake as Fireball went straight at her, diving on her, forcing her away from Nina and attacked her as he did so.

Siren grabbed his hands with her powerful talons and said in a sinister way “naughty, naughty little man”, she then kicked him into the life like wall which grabbed him.

Before Siren fired a black wave at him Nina quickly dived on her to stop her, rolling on the ground with her as she did.

Fireball was still suffering from the shock of those terrible images he saw and what Siren said to him, but looking at Nina fighting Siren he could see Siren doing the same thing to what she did to his child to her, and so struggling to break free he bit his way into the vines, causing them to break and he was free.

He then looked at the two fighting and was about to help but was grabbed by more vines which he shot off with his fire ability, firing from his hand.

Then another set came out and he grabbed them, pulling at them, when he did so out from the floor another monster came out, this time it was plant like and had a large mouth, the sort that would eat people.

“Verat! You ghastly piece of filth, I'll teach you for holding me and my friend as prisoner”.

Using his sword he cuts at the beast's vines and then attacked it by fusing his fire ability into his sword, slicing away at it, burning it as he hit it and then driving his sword into its head, causing it to burst into flames and as it did the whole house began to flame up aswell.

Fireball knew that this monster was the reason this house was alive and the only way to destroy it was to burn all of the house, and so he did by unleashing a strong fire burst from his hand.

As this happened Siren was still fighting with Nina among the flames and said with an insane laugh “the smell of burning flesh, soon your flesh will join it”.

“I don't fear you or death or this fire” said the bold wolf.

“Then we shall dine in hell” said the mad woman as she darted at Nina, pushing her towards the fire.

But as she forced Nina into the fire the wolf wasn't burning, nor was she in pain, infact it was like the fire was not affecting her.

“What?” said the bird woman.

“Maybe you should understand that I would never allow my fire to harm my friends” said a man behind Siren, it was Fireball.

“But this fire it burns everything?!” said the disbelieving woman.

Smiling Fireball said as he pointed the fact that the fire was not even touching Nina “notice how the fire is not even on her? And every time she is near it it parts away?”

Siren looked and then realised that Fireball was using his dragon power to put a fire shield around Nina, invisible to the naked eye.

Screeching Siren dived at Fireball and threw him into Nina, causing them both to fall and just missing the flames, but before they could get up these talons came at them and pushed them flying out of the house and straight into the wet outside.

Still keeping her grip Siren pushed the two into the near-by forest, forcing them into at tree, crushing them with her claws “even if I am meant to bring Nina alive I am going to kill you both and feast upon your beating hearts”.

Fireball and Nina looked at each other, both nodded as they both grabbed Siren's talons and pushed at them, forcing her back into another tree, but the woman pushed them flying with her black wave and flew at the two.

The two evaded and with a loud screech Siren dived at them again, messing again, then again and still missing the two.

“You know your aiming stinks Siren!” mocked Fireball as he fired a fire bolt at her, which also missed her.

“Look whose talking dragon!” said the bird woman as she fired another black wave at the two as she darted down, which the two dived out of the way and the wave exploded as it hit the ground.

Nina then knew how dangerous Siren was and knew that she would stop at nothing to achieve her goals, she even felt responsible for them being in the situation they were in and wished she had kept Fireball out of it in the first place “Fireball I'm sorry you got into this situation, I shouldn't of dragged you into it”.

Fireball smiled and said as he got up “don't be sorry, I would of done the same, besides I trust you, remember that”.

Nodding Nina accepted this and Fireball then told her to get behind him as he was going to take Siren on, but Nina wanted to help him, which he told her she could by watching his back and smiled as he said this to her.

That smile was a smile to say he be ok, all he needed was someone to watch over him while he fought.

Siren dived down at the two but Fireball grabbed her talons and threw her flying, gaving chase to her, flying at her and whacking into her, forcing her down into a near-by swamp.

Seeing he was going to go after her Nina warned him not to go down there, but he said to her as it would be alright “just watch my back” and dived after Siren.

Rushing towards the swamp she looked down into it and could see bubbles, then busting of water as the two fought.

She could see two silhouettes moving, one was bird looking another dragon, she could tell who was who.

Then the silhouettes disappeared and this purple blood began to rise to the surface.

Knowing whose blood this was Nina placed her paws together and closed her eyes, and said “don't worry my friend I've got your back”, this light emitted from her paws and this aura shined from it, hitting straight into the water's of the swamp.

As it did a screech was heard and Nina was interrupted when this golden claw grabbed her foot, startling her.

Then being flipped to the ground by the claw Nina fell on her back and there was a splash as something come out of the water, she then saw a blood stained Siren stand over her.

She had blood across her face and she was not happy either as she grabbed the white wolf with her foot claw, forcing her to chock almost.

Siren then forced her head near to the water and said to her in a cruel tone “want to know how long you can hold your breath? Well here's your chance!”.

As she could feel her head being forced into the water the wolf girl knew she was in trouble unless she did something, but she did not like being forced into deep water as it reminded her of what happened in the past, when she was a slave.

And seeing those images, those back-flashes was terrifying for her and made her even more determined to break free from Siren's grasp, as she did not want to be forced underwater, not again.

But another splash was heard as this green dragon man came out of the water and punched Siren away from Nina, causing her to release the wolf girl and fall to the ground.

Nina quickly got her head up and moved away from the water, huffing and puffing as she held her throat.

Seeing the dragon man standing there, covered in purple blood and Siren's red blood she said as she felt she owed him one “Fireball... I owe you for that”.

Fireball nodded and said as he stood in a fighting stance “no worries, just keep back while I deal with the mad woman”.

The dragon man then looked at Siren as she recovered from the punch, then saying in a taunting tone “yo she bitch, let's go!”

And without hesitation the bird woman went at Fireball once again and the two fought once more, this time they were really going at each other as they both used their powers against one another.

Witnessing this Nina could see how powerful both of their powers were and could see how each power was so destructive.

Seeing Siren using her black wave and shadow claws, Fireball using his fire element and heavy earth attacks, seeing them both explode on contact with each other, it was enough to make anyone respect their power but yet fear it.

Nina knew why the laws existed but she never felt all magic and powers were bad, but seeing those two fight reminded her why the laws were in place.

“Please don't use your power so recklessly”begged Nina as she could see the two fighting.

Hearing her plea Fireball changed his tactics to using his sword and struck at Siren.

Nina knew he heard her plea and was feeling proud of him for listening to her, despite the aggressive emotions he was feeling towards Siren he still listened to those that were telling him to do right.

As the two fought Siren quickly grabbed his rib side with her claw and then crushing it, causing Fireball a great deal of pain, and then forcing him down into the waters of the swamp.

Fearing for her friend's life Nina took a brave chance, ignoring her worry of water and dived down to help him.

As she swam up to the two fighting, in the best she could as she couldn't swim well, she grabbed Siren, placing her paw on Siren's head, then closing her eyes and using her power on her which forced the bird woman to let go and swim up to the surface.

Nina had to let her go as she saw her friend was sinking and quickly she swam down, grabbing the green dragon.

She looked at him as he looked so weak, she feared he was running out of oxygen and was going to breath into his mouth to help him breath, unaware he could breath underwater, that was until Fireball placed his claw on her shoulder to stop her and shook his head, pointing to his gills on the cheeks of his face.

Nina looked at them and shook her head, not believing she didn't see those, but there was a problem, she couldn't swim to the surface, so Fireball held on to her and used his tail to swim to the surface.

When on the surface Nina spat out the water from her mouth and panted for abit, and then carrying her wounded comrade to land.

Siren was no where to be seen, but Nina was still panicked from the water, she didn't like going that deep.

However she ignored her fear once again to check her friend over, seeing the deep wound on him, seeing how Siren had dug her talon into his side.

So quickly Nina took off her jumper and placed it on Fireball's wound, to try and stop the bleeding.

Placing her paw down on the wound she then quickly used a strong piece of vine and wrapped it around Fireball and her jumper, tightly to keep the blood from pouring out.

Sitting Fireball up under a tree, keeping him sheltered from the rain she said with concern “Fireball how bad is it?”

Coughing as he spoke “she got me good but however I will heal”.

“No you need a doctor, that wound is deep and you are losing blood”.

Looking at her wet face as the rain dripped down on her Fireball said with concern for her health “and you're getting wet, do you want to catch a cold?”

“Stop worrying about me, I'm trying to save your life here!” stressed Nina.

Fireball put his hand on her face to calm her down, he could tell she didn't like going into the water, specially that deep, her stressed tone was from that fear, so he said to help her feel at ease as he was very proud of her “it's ok... you did good... you made me proud”, he sounded like a big brother or a father when he said this.

But however Nina told him to stop talking and save his strength as she tore off a bit of her jumper that she placed on him, and tied the torn part around his arm that was also wounded.

“Nina... I be ok, I'm a dragon, I heal fast”.

“I know that you stubborn dragon but it don't mean you'll stop losing blood and die”.

She then tried using her power to heal his wounds, but they wasn't healing, instead this dark aura forced her to stop and pushed her away.

This worried her as she couldn't make out why her powers wasn't healing his wounds.

Fireball could see she was worried and was still blaming herself for what happen, and suffering from her phobia, so he said as he used his power to calm her down “Nina... stop...”

She looked at him and looked at his hand glowing, recognising the power he used “you can do that too?”

“It's not like your power... but still... it works”.

Fireball then said as he explained the situation about his wounds to her and to assure her he be alright “listen I am hurt badly, Siren has cursed me with a curse that can render wounds unable to heal for a long time but they will heal, as a dragon I have cells that can heal me quick, I even have powers that can help me, powers that not even you know of but will know of soon as you too have very strong powers yourself and can see things that no one else can see, like those thoughts in my mind, you saw my child, you saw my thoughts, only Sapphire was able to do that but however you? You did also”.

Looking at Fireball as he said this Nina nodded and said as she felt calm “thank you, I never usually get like that but thank you”.

Nina then looked around for more things to make a shelter for her friend, she didn't care about herself but Fireball was not going to let her get wet and told her to sit next to him, so he could shelter her with his wings, but she insisted that she couldn't, until he begged her too, so she did.

After awhile as Fireball gain some of his strengthen he then raised his hand and used his power on a near-by tree to open up its roots, lifting them so it would make a small shelter.

When he stopped he huffed and puffed as his wounds were winding him, Nina was amazed by his power and asked “what are you?”

“A dragon with a lot of gifts” said Fireball as he panted.

Nina helped Fireball to the shelter and they both went were inside, it was warm and it did the job of keeping the rain out.

Inside the two talked and Nina asked about him being able to breath underwater, she wanted to know why he didn't tell her this “why didn't you tell me you could breath underwater?”

“You never asked... besides getting a kiss from you would of been priceless... whaa hay!” jestered the man but was met with a slap across the face.

“You have a mate and yet you are saying stuff like that?!”

Fireball smiled as she lectured him and then said “Nina... I would never betray Sapphire nor our friendship, I was just messing around, like I would with all my friends and family... yes even my poor sisters get it off me, specially my eldest”.

When he explained this to her she could feel that he cared about his love, his friends and family very much, his attitude showed how much trust he had in them to be able to jest like he did.

But Fireball did apologised to her “but however I am sorry if that joke was too far... I never meant any harm in it”

Again she could see this caring side to him and she smiled at this, touched by his kindness “ you silly old dragon, always joking around, never taking things serious”, but she then said as she was concerned about him being so immature that one day he could end up losing his life “but promise me this Fireball”.

Fireball listened as she asked this “promise me you will not get yourself killed with that immaturity of yours and that you will live no matter what”.

The Dragon stared at her as he had already made a promise to his children and wife that he would return to them “I got to for my children, I promised them that daddy is going to return to them one day, besides my eldest child would bash my head against a rock if I didn't”.

Nina laughed and asked with surprise “you're a daddy of more then one?”

“Yeah... I know when you first saw me I acted like a teen or what have you but for real I am a father, with a big responsibility”.

Sitting next to him as she wanted to hear more about his mate and children, so Fireball decided to show her with his mind and asked her to trust him as he put his hands on her head, showing her his memories, sharing the images of his beloved Sapphire and his children.

Nina saw them laughing and playing in the fields of green, infact those fields of green she knew of and said to Fireball as she was seeing all of this “I saw this in my dream”.

“Wildra, the Avlon forest?”

“Yes”

“How? You never been to my world”.

“Wait this is another world, as in something from the stars?”

“Yes it is”.

The two ventured on and Nina saw Fireball playing with his children, chasing them around the fields, while Sapphire was watching.

He had four beautiful dragon daughters, one was black, with a red chest, had markings on her head and legs, with horns like her mother's, another was blue with a light blue chest, feathered wings and tail, another was white with purple transparent wings and a purple chest, with purple horns and a purple Dragon Eye on her head, and there was another white dragon with a blue chest, red, pinkish, transparent wings, blue fans going down her back and blue spots on her skin, she too had a Dragon Eye but on her chest.

“Wait that dragon, is she Isabel?”

“Yes that is correct, she was only two then but like her sisters she could pack a punch” jest the man.

“So she has a dragon form too?”

“Yes, you see like me she could use the ability of changing into a dragon girl, the other three couldn't do this ability but had other gifts”.

Nina looked at Sapphire and as she did she noticed she looked like someone she knew, the blue collar and cuffs they were the same as Seleena's.

“Seleena?” she questioned.

“That's Sapphire, not Seleena”.

“No it is her daughter” said Nina as she put two and two together, realising this.

And quickly the link was broken and Fireball asked as he opened his eyes, with surprise “you sure?”

“Yes, Seleena mentioned she had a daughter that she saved from the Slave Masters”.

“By sending her to the stars?” asked Fireball as he recalled the story.

“Yes”

“Why didn't I realise it before? Damn it!” said Fireball as he tried to get up but was forced to lay down due to his wounds.

“Easy, you hurt yourself” said Nina as she held him down carefully.

Fireball then said as he knew clearly that he had to save Seleena, not only because of her herself but also for his mate “your mission is definitely my mission now, I must save her for both her and my love”.
